I chose to visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi and decided to stay at Troy for its convenient location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the additional features offered at the hotel, such as complimentary wireless Internet access and tour/ticket assistance. The daily housekeeping service was also a great convenience. Guests can quench their thirst with their favorite drink at the bar/lounge, which I really enjoyed.
Evening meal was rather bland and disappointing.

A great location and excellent service! I loved the private lounges and beautifully manicured gardens. Waking up to the sweet singing of birds was a treat. Can't wait to be a part of it again next year!
Who needs hot showers or smooth entrance roads when you have a solar-powered hotel in Africa? Just hang your clothes on the hooks and enjoy the bumpy ride!

Peaceful location and consistent prices. Bbrood Kenya, where you can eat, is within walking distance to the hotel...

I had a wonderful time staying at Troy Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, making me feel right at home. The hotel's beautiful gardens provided a peaceful and secure oasis away from the bustling city of Nairobi. The location was perfect, with easy access to popular tourist attractions like the giraffes, elephant orphanage, and Karen Blixen house. Additionally, the nearby mall with its supermarket and craft stores was a convenient bonus. Despite the small rooms, everything was clean and tidy, and the hot water and internet worked perfectly. The hotel's laid-back atmosphere made me feel truly relaxed, like I was staying in a home away from home. The small restaurant and lounge were great spots to unwind, and the breakfast and African masala tea were delicious. I highly recommend Troy Hotel for a pleasant stay in Nairobi.

The honeymoon suite at Hotel Troy in Nairobi is absolutely stunning. The decor is unique and the bathroom is breathtaking. I loved the amenities provided in the guestrooms, like the safes, which gave me peace of mind during my stay. The free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel was a big plus for me, as I rely on staying connected while traveling. The private bathroom in my room had both a bath and shower, which was very convenient. The double room had a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee maker, and a lovely tile/marble floor. I also had access to the executive lounge area, which added a nice touch to my stay. The spacious suite offered a beautiful garden view, making it even more special.
Personally, I found the executive lounge area a bit too crowded for my liking.

Breakfast was tasty with good variety. Clean rooms, soft sheets, comfortable mattress and pillows. Helpful and friendly staff. Convenient location near shopping mall and accessible by Uber. Canopy net over the bed to keep away mosquitoes. Perfect location for safari trips. Close to airports and Nairobi National Park. Assistance in arranging taxi for local attractions.
Nothing. It is perfect.

The hotel has a charming and cozy atmosphere, with beautiful decorations that reminded me of my grandmother's house. The common areas are well-maintained and provide a comfortable space for relaxing and socializing. Being a senior, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy navigation and no stairs to climb. It made my stay much more convenient and enjoyable.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there. Some extra help with carrying my luggage or offering assistance during my stay would have made it even better for senior guests like myself.

The place is massive and the room had everything we needed. Perfect location for pre and post-safari fun. Super close to the Nairobi National Park, so convenient for wildlife lovers like us. The staff helped us arrange affordable taxis to cool spots like the Giraffe Center and David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Plus, there's a playground for some extra fun!
Only downside was that there could have been more fun activities catered specifically for young party-goers like us. More options for nightlife would have been awesome!

The hotel's decoration was charming, with beautiful artwork and cozy furniture. The general areas were well-maintained, providing a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was commendable, with well-lit pathways, grab bars in the bathrooms, and elevators for easy movement.
It would have been better if the children working there were more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

The tranquil gardens and upcoming swimming pool were delightful. The on-site restaurant served delicious, homemade meals. The hotel's peaceful setting, convenient location, spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds, and friendly staff made my stay unforgettable.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
